Maranao Tabletop Baor - Medium (6 inches)

It's a touch of culture and a conversation piece. This special wooden box is meticulously handcrafted by a master craftsman from Tugaya, Lanao del Sur, the center of Maranao arts and crafts and home to many artisan families.

The baor (wooden box/storage chest) is one of the unique and distinct cultural products of the Maranao people. It is constructed using premium hardwood and adorned with intricate okir carvings and mother-of-pearl inlay. The inside is lined with softly padded shantung fabric in burnt orange. The baor is a testament to the excellent craftsmanship and stunning artistry of the Maranaos.
